CJ realized his love for film and photo after he took a summer school class for beginning filmmaking in the summer of 2006. He then took classes in high school for both photography and filmmaking and actually won a silver medal at the LA County ROP Outstanding Student Recognition Competition for film. CJ then attended both Quinnipiac University and Northern Arizona University, where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Electronic Media and Film in 2015.
